Key historical information

In the late 1930s, Danfoss had 29 employees working on the world’s first thermostatic expansion valves, as well as thermostats, pressure transmitters, dryer filters and water valves. After 20 years, thermostatic radiator valves entered production, and the digital “era” also begins.

In the mid-70s, fuel heaters were successfully added to the Danfoss product list. Some of the parts already produced by this organization began to be used in the assembly of a line of Audi cars. During this period employees totaled more than 11 thousand.

2010 is considered a post-crisis year for many when many companies had to get back on their feet. Danfoss emerged from the global financial crisis even stronger than ever before. And three years later they became full-fledged owners of Danfoss Turbocor Compressors and Sauer-Danfoss. The company then acquired Vacon, Sondex and White Drive Products.

Danfoss’s development strategy has led to tangible success.

In 2016, the company celebrated the 50th anniversary of its first series of T2 expansion valves, as well as the 50 millionth product.

It can be noted that the activity of the company has positively affected the development of compressor technologies in general.
